See more » This Art Deco engagement ring with old mine-cut diamond in antique style is crafted in solid 18k white gold, weighs exactly 3.0g and measures 10mm wide and 5mm deep. In stunning geometrically inspired and classically refined Deco style, this aesthetically gracious engagement ring exposes a highly refractive, 0.40ct bezel-set old mine-cut diamond graded F color and VS1 clarity, distinctively positioned within a delicate floating frame. A glowing rim of bead-set full-cut diamonds enhanced by an immaculately mille grained perimeter encircles the brilliant center-stone, flanked by quatrefoil motif, bezel-set collets, cumulatively adorned with 0.30cts of full-cut diamonds graded H-I color and SI1 clarity. An elaborate pierced openwork gallery incorporating inverted teardrop themed profiles accentuates the enriched aesthetic of this intriguing Deco style ring, complemented by substantial, ornately forked, diminutive shoulders that merge to form a svelte white gold band and an easily sizable shank. Old mine-cut diamonds are amongst the earliest diamond cuts becoming rarer by the decade. Old mine-cut diamonds are cut with gently rounded corners and brilliant-style facets, the old world charm deriving from an open culet which favors fire over brilliance. Many of these diamonds have now been re-cut to suit more modern proportions, especially those of higher quality, leaving few of these charming and desirable cuts with wide-flashing facets for us to enjoy today.
