We have more than a sneaking suspicion if we were left to our own devices with an unlimited bank account and a blank slate for a residential design, we'd find ourselves with many of the same interior architectural features that Asahi Kasei’s Plus-Nyan house offers its four-legged residents. And you have to check out the cat bathroom below the jump... The whole house is like a cat gymnasium, but thoughtfully designed to integrate each element mostly invisibly with the rest of the homes architectural details, including tunnels (we still like this pet tunnel the best), shelving and integrated cat-proof surfaces. We especially like the integration of the kitty litter box in the same location as where their bipedal slaves do their business; our cats have a disturbing curiosity of watching us whilst upon the throne, so it would be funny to go be going together at the same time. The other feature we love is the corner "stairway" that mimics the human option, ascending up to the rafters and even out to a rooftop outdoor area. Our indoor-only cats would certainly love the option to parade outside for some fresh air too, so we're not going to be sharing this site with them anytime soon. But check out more of this amazing residence here yourself. Note: ATLA reader Pamela reminded us to offer a link with translated text here.
