Attorney David Rubin is from New Haven, CT. He is a principal in the law firm of Engelman, Noyes, and Rubin, LLP. He was educated at the Hopkins School. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Yale College in 1977, graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society in his junior year. He graduated from Columbia Law School in 1984, and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar. While at Columbia Law School he served internships in the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the City of New York, and in the Office of the General Counsel for the General Electric Co. Attorney Rubin tried civil and family law cases at law firms in New Haven, Meriden and Hartford. In 1989, he opened his own firm. He became a principal in his present firm in 1999. In 1989, Attorney Rubin was awarded the annual Connecticut Bar Association Pro Bono Award for the trial and appeal of a case, Cheshire Mortgage v. Montes, that produced one of the first state Supreme Court decisions against the unfair lending practices of mortgage companies. Attorney Rubin is the proud father of three daughters and one son-in-law.
