How women love to shop, right, well why not add your mortgage to the shopping list girls. In years gone by, the man of the house ran the budget, dividing up his pay into tiny morcels. The lady of the house was often left with only a few dollars, to feed and cloth the whole family. In the age we live in now, most women rule the roost when it comes to what money gets spent on. We are all finding it increasingly hard to keep our financial heads above water. Credit cards, personal loans, interest free loans ect are all at the top of the list when it comes to owing money. We love to shop, we love to buy those articles that make us feel great. Most of these items are big ticket items that we just must have. The huge house, the new car, the LCD Television and so on, but where does this get us in the long run? I have a small house, a four year old car and a six year old television and i am going to feel the pain of the latest interest rate rises by the end of the year. Something has to give. Will it be the food on my grocery list? What will the Australian Reserve Bank official Interest Rate be by October 2008 when my fixed rate home loan expires?
