Mmm, these look great.

Made these tonight. Wasn't terribly impressed. I'd say 2.5-3 out of 5 stars. Only gets more than 2 due to the icing being tasty, and the fact that i think I overcooked them some, and that might have had some effect (affect?) on the flavor. They also stuck like crazy to the pans despite greasing my tins! So, on a re-do, I would probably use a little less Guinness (2/3C vs 1C), maybe add some chopped dark chocolate for a little zing (1/4-1/2C), watch the cook time closer, and use liners and/or more non-stick spray/crisco. I probably won't make this again to find out though, guinness is too expensive for something that I don't think I'm going to love. These are not super sweet, and have some of that stout beer taste to them - not strong, but its there. Maybe if you're a stout fan, you'll like them better than I did. And of course, not overcooking them may help.
