Here are some fun and unique ideas for the last night out for the bride! Remember that every girl is different and you should bow to the prefrence of the bride! Just because you would prefer a wild night out does not mean that the guest of honor would - ask her how she wants to spend her “Girls Night Out!” 1) Comedy Club - this was my choice for my bachelorette party and we had a great time! A typical show at a comedy club lasts a couple hours, so depending on what time you go, you have an oppurtunity to incorporate other events. We went to a later showing, so we all met at my Maid of Honor’s house beforehand and had a few mixed drinks and they gave me some gifts. This gave us a chance to just hang out and talk before we went out. I especially liked this idea because I did not want to go out with all the embarassing things, like veils and suck for a buck shirts - thats just not for me. If your bride likes the attention, though, go for it! There was another bachelorette party there and the comedians messed with the bride all night! 2) Bowling - this can be soooo much fun! You don’t have to be good, you just have to let loose and allow yourself to have fun, even though you are wearing someone elses shoes! On weekend nights, bowling allies often have “glow bowling” where they turn down the lights, crank up the music and turn on the black lights! Its tons of fun and a great alternative to a night out at a bar - don’t worry, though, almost every bowling alley will have a bar! 3) Bar Hopping - ok, so I am not a big fan of this option, although when I do it, I have a good time. Just make sure that you have the planning down right (this is the part that puts me off). You have to make sure that you know where you are going, who is going and who is getting you there! Also, for any bar that you go to, you have to know who is “taking care of the bride,” i.e., paying her cover, buying her drinks, helping her to the bathroom, etc. Also, make sure that you keep tabs on everybody - you don’t want to leave anyone behind! Thats where this idea gets messy. This is the best option if you have a smaller party. I would say 6 or less is ideal. Also, make sure that you arrange for transportation. If you can all afford it, chip in for the limo! It a big night, and if you can swing it, you should do it right! If not, try and keep the bars in the same general area so that you can walk to them all, that way you don’t have to worry about calling a cab every time you want to go somewhere. Keeping it to two cab rides (the way there and the way home) is ideal. And finally, if you have a DD, don’t abuse her…she is watching you all get tanked, so don’t drive her crazy with requests to constantly go somewhere else (like across town). If planned right, it can be a great time. Just make sure everyone knows their role! 4) Dinner Party - for the classy bride! She might enjoy getting dressed up with her friends and having a great meal! This can be done either at the home of one of the members of the bridal party, or you could make reservations at a nicer restaraunt. Just keep in mind that if you choose to go out, some of the guests may not be able to attend due to the price. 5) Weekend Trip - ok, this is a good one if you can swing it! If you are fortunate to live in a locale where a great city is only a few hours away, this is a great idea for you. However, if you would have to take a plane, this might not be the best bet unless you have the cash to get it done. Leave on a Saturday morning, shop in the new city, have a great lunch and then find the best party spot! Its fun to experience a new city! Stay at a hotel and after a lunch on Sunday, head home. Again, cost restrictions may hinder this idea, so make sure everyone knows up front what they would need to pay for! 6) Lingerie/Fun Party - host an adult party! These parties are fun and entertaining in the right crowd - make sure that your bride is not uptight and that you don’t invite familiy members that may be easily offended. With all kinds of goodies to choose from, every guest can choose and buy
