With the soaring price of gasoline, insurance rates and the other costs associated with driving a traditional 4-wheeled vehicle, many people are looking for alternative forms of short and medium-range transportation. People have been motorizing bicycles ever since bicycles have been around and continue to do so. There have been many improvements in the evolution of bike engine kits, but we still have a long way to go before we see the ultimate bolt-on bike engine kit. The bike engine industry, if you can even call it an industry, is very slow to respond to the buyer's needs and there are many crooks and shady dealers out there. To be a dealer often involves nothing more than buying a few kits at wholesale and listing them on eBay or even having a shady dropshipper just ship the kit for them. There are many online dealers that won't even answer emails regarding their products and there are some that want to sell you that one kit and get your money, then forget they know you. With all this in mind, it's up to us, the consumer, to help each other.
