We have had other Bissell products (carpet cleaners) and have always been very pleased. So when it came time to buy a vacuum we decided to try the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Dual Cyclonic Vacuum. What a piece of junk. Within the first 45 days the flex hose collapsed on itself, Bissell replaced it. The worst part about this product is that it gets VERY HOT. The worst part about dealing with the Bissell Company is their customer service department, even when buying belts etc. they have proved to be worthless. I would advise you to keep your receipt (you are going to need it) and purchase your parts etc. through a reputable co., avoid dealing with or giving your personal information to Bissell directly.

I've had this vaccum just short of a year and have had into the shop twice for lack of suction. It works fine, then just stops picking up..not sure where the dirt is going but it's not in the cup! When it does work, it works great. Picks up alot of pet hair and what have you. I do find teh vacuum to be a bit on the heavy side. I have a larger house and using it tires me out.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!This is absolutely the WORST vacuum I've ever owned, keeping it for only seven months before adbandoning it at an authorized Bissell service center.It does NOT live up to it's name - the hair clogs at the top of the plastic "window", the collection cup is about 1/8th the size of a regular vacuum bag requiring numerous trips to the dustbin to empty during normal routine weekly vacuuming. The Bissell corporation will not honor their manufacturer's warranty, which basically just says that unless there's a broken part, they will do nothing and maintain that even though it's not working, their repair centers say it is. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I purchased this vacuum - and after having owned a Kirby and a Dyson - I think this one does a BETTER JOB than either of those "higher end" products. This is a light weight machine that doesn't require bags. It's a cleaner way to get a dirty job done. I love mine!
