I wouldn't call that a truly flexible nib. John Mottishaw can modify it to make it more flexible, but even he says it's not the same as vintage flexible nibs, out of the box. See http://www.nibs.com/NamikiFalconPage.htm to see what he says about it. You can often get a vintage pen with *real* flex for less than the cost of this pen. My Waterman 12 1/2 with flexy #2 Ideal nib cost me all of $70.The Falcon is a pretty pen, don't get me wrong, and if it didn't cost s'durned much I might get one myself. BTW, the description of this pen as having a "hooded" nib is just plain wrong.
