I upgraded from a 2-year old Blackberry 8800. Great improvement! PROS: Ergonomic factor- the 8900 is slimmer, and easier to type on. Screen has great resolution, too. Wi-Fi works well, automatically connects to wi-fi networks if you have programmed in any needed security keys. Voice clarity on both ends is great, unlike the problems I've heard with the tour 9630 (that's the main reason I didn't switch to Verizon for the Tour). Lots of bars in most areas, I ususally have the best cell phone reception of anyone around me. The new operating system has a browser which makes it much easier to view different parts of a web page and zoom in on certain areas. GREAT camera, very sharp pictures. Battery life is pretty good, lasts about 3 days with lots of e-mailing and 1 or 2 calls a day.Battery will drain very quickly though, if you accidentally leave power-hungry apps running in the background (make sure to hit "CLOSE", don't just return to the home screen). CONS: Unfortunately, I still find PDF attachments very difficult to read since it seems impossible to move left and right if you've zoomed in. Luckily I don't have to read many PDF's on the Blackberry. I have mixed results with watching you-tube videos. Usually works without a hitch, but once in a while they just won't run. Would definitely do it all over again. I was considering the I-Phone, but when it comes to my main requirement, which is e-mail, the Blackberry is a no-brainer! If you don't need to use a keyboard too much, or if you don't need the push e-mail, then the I-Phone is pretty slick. 2 of 2 found the following review helpful:
