Featuring a unique design, incredible artistry and intricate craftsmanship, our Blackwood Jars make a useful and elegant addition to any room. The entire jar plus the delicate lid is ringed around and around with concentric circles for a sculptural effect, showcasing the beautiful tradition of turned woodwork from Mozambique. Handmade by rural artisans in Mozambique, and imported through the fair-trade organization Aid to Artisans. Fair-trade prices allow skilled artisans to gain new buyers and expand their product range while improving their management and business skills. Empowered by their success, artisans can improve their own lives with increased food security and financial stability. Jars each measure approximately 7" T x 2.5" dia. (17.5 cm T x 6 cm dia.). Each jar will vary. Choose Narrow Bands (shown left) or Wide Bands (shown right).
