Canon, you can never go wrong! http://www.zappos.com/n/br/b/2278/Canon.html

Love how it is micromini.

I have this and love it.

You can never go wrong with a Rebel.

I own the xti and love it!!

Canon Rebel Owner, my friend has the Nikon... its no comparison.

i like this one because it's little and cute!! you can also fit this one into more places because it's smaller. CANON is also a reliable company to invest in!

i trust canon

nice and small

I had to make this choice 2 months ago. I chose the Canon because although the Nikon came close, nothing could match the Canon optics in this price range.

never had problems with canon.

Sony is new in the SLR field, Nikon is king, but 12MP is better. Canon is trusted and they're SLRs have always been quality and easy to work with. Nikons are a little complex in comparison.

just get canon trust me

Cheap accessories.

I purchased the Canon Rebel XTi in November of 2007 and I couldn't be happier with it!

We have an earlier Rebel, 8MP one. It's been a great camera, takes great pictures with the 38-300 Tamron lense we got (which is actually 1.5x since it's digital).

Canon really has the most experience in terms of mid-range Digital SLRs, and their new models are great. Reliable, user-friendly, and compatible with a huge amount of accessories out there. I think the Sony camera would be easier to learn from the get-go, but I believe the Canon will be the better value in the long run. Sadly, I don’t have a lot of Nikon experience, but either the Canon or the Sony will produce excellent results.

I had the D60 and the menu does get a while to used to. And I did not like that the auto focus motor is in the lens. It makes the camera front heavy. Canon on the other hand has reputation of being friendly. Let me also make a recommendation that is not in the list. Powershot G9. I have this and used it during my last trip. Excellent results, not as bulky as SLR but a very close to it.

Digic 3 processor, bright viewfinder, overall fantastic camera.
