The Byzantine chainmail weave (a very basic weave, also called Birdcage, Bird’s nest, Byz2, Etruscan, Fool’s dilemma, Idiot’s delight, Idiot’s Trap) is just one I have used to make sterling silver & 14k gold filled jewelry, with either 2 connectors or even 3. My preferred aspect ratio is 3.5 and I have used from 12 AWG to 20 AWG.
