The University of Maryland and the City of College Park, in partnership with Apple Computer, Inc., are sponsoring a computer recycling event to give faculty, staff, students, and local residents the opportunity to properly dispose of their unwanted computer equipment (see a list of what's acceptable and what's unacceptable below). The equipment will be disposed of in a secure fashion: all hard drives will be shredded and other materials will be recycled. Volunteers will be on site to unload your vehicle. Please note: University-owned computers cannot be recycled at this event. When: Friday, September 29 -- 3-6 p.m. Saturday, September 30 -- 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
