Comments on this Recipe My 4yr old daughter and I made this last Christmas. She handed them out the family members as a gift from her. I made labels on my own printer to put on the containers. I plan on making this to take on our vacation next week. My husband says it makes a great cereal too! Sara C Tasty! I adapted it a little, adding 1 C walnuts AND 1/2 C slivered almonds. I omitted sesame seeds, as I couldn't find them in that volume. After it was completely cooled, I added half a bag of mini chocolate chips and I chose Craisins cherry-flavored cranberries. I baked it on a sheet of parchment paper to prevent any sticking, but still stirred to get the really moist stuff to the top. It also made it easy to lift it off the pan for easy spread out cooling. I was surprised how easy it was. There?s a reason they put this recipe in the ?gifts kids can make? section. It?s just stirring and measuring. Plus, I put the honey, oil and water in the same measuring cup (water first, then honey, then oil) until it all added up to 1 cup. The layers were perfectly defined (honey on bottom). It was pretty cool looking and a great science lesson. Lisa C This is a delicious recipe that I always have on hand. As a nursing Mom it is nice to have a breakfast choice that is milk and soy free as my baby is intolerant to those ingrediants. Angie R
