Dell Computer

I had purchased Dell Inspiron 518 Intel Core 2 Duo from "customintelcomputers.com" in cheapest price. At first I was concerned with the other review but after reading the sellers feedback from other buyers, I decided to go for it. It arrived fast and worked right out of the box. I had a question about the restore CD and Customer Service was quick and answered my question. The Dell Inspiron 518 computer is an absolutely great piece. I own the Dell Dimension 4600 with Windows XP. It works just fine. It was expensive because we added lots of stuff. Later, I found we had bought a DVD drive which works fine - after I bought software to make it work. About a year later on I added a new Dell UltraSharp 22007FP, Wide Flat Panes screen - 20 inch, which has incredible color. Before, we were using our first HP computer screen which had faded out without my realizing it. Had to add speakers (sound bar) to that, too, because the old monitor had its own speakers. We ordered the computer by phone and the monitor online. We got a printer (free) and scanner - our original scanner wouldn't work with XP. We had a local computer expert add more memory even though we bought at home 24/7 technical support because I trust him (great Angie's List recommendations). You can buy Dell printer cartridges at Staples now, not just on line. I like ordering online as Dell will take up to 2 credit cards for printer ink. I was able to use a Wells Fargo gift card that wouldn't scan at any store I tried. When Dell sends the computer, you get a print out of every single item put into the computer. That makes talking about it very easy. If you have windows 98, you will love XP. Doesn't crash.
