Service dogs that are trained to assist the individual needs of a person with a disability can provide the amount of physical and/or psychological support necessary to help that person lead a more functional and independent life. The National Service Dog Center (NSDC), a web-based Delta Society program, provides information and resources for people with disabilities who are considering getting a service dog or who are currently partnered with a service dog. I have a hearing dog and she is identified with jacket and carry the laws. But have a problem with people not understanding why since I hear with hearing aids good and speak well because I am late deaf. I am also deaf without hearing aids so my dog goes with me everywhere. People give dirty looks and shun me in public places when I have my dog this hurts. I want to help spread the information to others in groups speak out for those who have service dogs and help public awareness why we have these dogs with us. Thanks.
