Hardly a day goes by when you miss hearing a message or read an article touting the benefits of eating right. So, when you consider eating for good health, it is hard to beat 'raw'. But what is raw food and eating raw exactly? A raw food diet refers to consuming natural or plant-based food, foods that are minimally processed and essentially in their natural state or 'raw'. Experts estimate that 75% of the food you eatshould be in the raw or unprocessed form. The benefits are astounding and cannot be equaled by any pill or supplement. Why? Because fresh fruits and vegetables contain much more than just a vitamin. They contain essential food enzymes, chlorophyll, cofactors, minerals, water, biophotons (more on this at a later date), carbohydrates, electromagnetic energy frequencies (healing energies) and protein. Most, if not ALL of these factors degrade to some extent when cooked. As you can see, a raw diet adds immense benefits to your health. It improves the way your body functions, and you can see the results as increased energy, improved digestive function and better control of your weight. Just by simply eating more raw, vitalized food, your body will move from fat storing to fat burning, becoming a leaner machine. Isn't that what you want? Cooked food pales raw food, especially when you look at its affects on the digestive and circulatory system. Cooking iswell known to be a source of nutrient loss. Cooking devitalizes food. It eliminates important elements, vitamins and minerals. Not only that...a large portion of cooked food actually enhances fat production due to the changes it underwent by heating. This can make food more acidic and much more difficult to metabolize. Raw food is much easier for the body to utilizeIt is easily broken down into its smaller components, which makes nutrients more readily available to the cells. Proteins, fats, enzymes, vitamin, minerals and cofactors all active and ready for uptake in your body for metabolic process. Raw nuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and filberts are excellent sources of high quality protein. The oils in these foods have an added benefit of enhancing your skin and hair. Eating raw just make sense. You feel better, look better and feel satisfied when you eat, even though you are eating less. You are more regular due to the increased natural fiber content of the food and the added enzymes which break down the food. You get more out of what you eat...which is why you eat LESS. And less looks good on you, and great on your pocketbook. Do what your ancestors did...Get down in the dirt. Eat raw. Bookmark/Search this post with:
