The most eco friendly electric guitar on the planet! No kidding! This beauty is made almost entirely from salvaged cherry and walnut with some local curly maple and cherry burl. Organic shellac finish and handmade from start to finish, it is truly a very green music machine. Semi hollow body with hot wound P-90's. Bound finger board with jumbo frets. Bent wood bindings, marquetry inlay, cherry burl cross banded fingerboard with inlaid curly maple stars. Bound and inlaid headstock. All inlay and bindings are cut entirely by hand with only hand tools. (if you use a router, it dosn't count.) Hand polished eco-friendly shellac finish produces a durable gloss yet is the ultimate thin finish for tonal quality. Amber color from shellac is all natural and gives a vintage look. Neck polish is the ultimate in smooth. Action: Low to medium. At 5/64" on the bass side and just barely over 1/16" on the treble (12th fret), the buzz free action is a very easy to play. With light strings on the jumbo frets, even I can play barre chords. Contouring at the top of the neck and the 2 degree neck angle feels like a set neck, with all of the benefits of a bolt on. Tonal range is from grunge power chords full of a bassy growl, yet with crystal clear highs, to a trebly twang great for country strumming. Some awesome blues come out somewhere in between. I am really digging playing this axe. Scale: 24 9/16" Bolt on neck with 4 screws and neck plate Neck width at nut: 1 13/16" Neck width at 21st fret: 2 1/4" Fingerboard radius: 12" Body: 1 3/4" thick (actual 1 23/32") and 18 5/8 X 13 1/2" across the lower bout. Total weight: 8 1/2 lbs. Hardware: 18:1 Grover Self locking tuning machines Gotoh aluminum stop tailpiece ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge 16 ohm Goat's Growl P-90 handwound pickups from ManliusGuitar.com Volume w/ bass bypass Tone selector, down for bassy .05mf and up for .001mf to bring out a nice country twang Headstock adjustable, low torque, stainless steel truss rod from Allied Luthier Supply makes adjusting the action a breeze. 8 mil directional shielding behind pickguard and pickups and lining bottom of control cavity. Shielded wire used for all runs except string ground.
