LAWRENCE Eileen O'Connor Breen, 83, long-time resident of Lawrence, died at her home Friday, May 30, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Paul J. Breen, funeral director, and daughter of the late Jennie V. and Jeremiah J. O'Connor. She found great joy in being with her family. She loved her garden and spent many happy hours there. She and her husband owned and operated Breens Ceramic Studio on Cross Street in Lawrence. In 1958 she worked as a tester at Western Electric in North Andover. After retiring she and her husband wintered in Florida, enjoying the sunshine and spending much time at their favorite location, Disney World. Mrs. Breen is survived by her children, Paula L. Breen of Lawrence, Paul J. Breen Jr. of Amesbury, William J. Breen and wife Lucille of Port Charlotte, Fla., Eileen V. Grenda of Lawrence and Anne Breen and partner Kathleen Doyle of Salisbury; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Bosketti of Exeter, N.H., Marie P. O'Connor of Lawrence and Marguerite Pinto of Methuen; a brother-in-law and his wife, Daniel and Louise Breen of North Andover; several nieces and nephews, and friend and niece, Nancy DeLuca of Derry, N.H. She was predeceased by a sister, Rita O'Connor of Lawrence, and brothers, Raymond O'Connor of North Hampton, N.H., George (Rob) O'Connor of Walnut Creek, Calif., Ralph O'Connor of North Hampton, John O'Connor of Plaistow, N.H. and Walter O'Connor of Plaistow. ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no calling hours. A Mass will be held to celebrate her life at a later date. Contributions may be made to Cancer Management Center, Caritas Christi Holy Family Hospital, 70 East St., Methuen, MA 01844.
