I bought a basket like this in Great Britain about 8 years ago. I was great for carrying lightweight stuff, but buy a gallon of milk and it tipped down hitting the front wheel. So I recently bought an alloy front rack from abaxo on ebay (it only cost $15) and my husband installed it to my bike. Now I replaced the basket sitting securely on top of the rack (with the help of a couple of plastic ties) and the basket sits straight and nothing tips or falls out.
