Pure white flowers, the size of a dinner plate, open as soon as the sun goes down and stay open all night, closing in the morning. We invited a few friends to the greenhouse one evening to take in this wondrous sight and breathe in the heady, intoxicating fragrance. It blooms in waves during the summer months, with sometimes as many as 15 flowers at once. Our friends were overwhelmed with nature’s ability to manifest such a magnificent creation. Word spread quickly. A member of the Orchid Cactus family, its flowers emerge from the leaf-like structure. Hardy Zone 10 and higher for outdoors. Partial sun, grows to 6’ in container, vining in habit, minimum temperature 35°, blooms in summer. Fragrant! Easy Grower!See less »
