while sharpening the pencils will make some shorter than others, doesn't it just add to the artwork itself? Drawing is art. Pencils create art. Who is to say that the pencils in their lifespan can't create artwork in themselves? It would be interesting, i think, to use the pencils and watch the wall develop and not be a stagnant piece of work...(from designboom.com)
