Now I don't own this sword, but having owned 3 different swords (Sword of Vaelen, a Marto brand Scottish Claymore, and a Paul Chen practical katana) I can tell you quite a bit about this one, just from having read from other reviews. 1) This is not a sword meant for cutting things! A REAL sword should not wiggle when you swing it around or feel like it's going to break or have the blade fall off. My Sword of Vaelen does this. It's because the tang probably isn't properly secured to the handle, if it's secured at all. On my Paul Chen katana, there is one Medugi, it's a peg that holds the tang and handle together. I can't believe some of you are trying to chop down trees with this. You wouldn't even do that with a Paul Chen sword and that's a fully-working blade! If you insist on testing the edge, try cutting a large pumpkin or a stalk of bamboo. 2) A good quality sword should weigh about 2 to 3 pounds. Any more than that (like my Marto Scottish Claymore) and all you have is a heavy, clumsy, albeit beautiful piece of metal. I think it is a great idea that someone made weapons based off the Final Fantasy games, but let's face it, these are FANTASY weapons and in our world are only meant as decoration.
