poor little bettas :/ yeah, they come from shallow waters, but let's compare, shall we? put a betta in a tiny tank, hell it could be even bigger than this one, and it wouldn't matter. he'll hardly move much, and he'll seem depressed. put him in at least a 1/2 to 1 gallon, and he'll thrive!! he'll show all sorts of different emotions, but mainly happiness because you showed him that you care enough to give him more living space (bcuz remember, he spends his entire life in this tank or bowl) he'll swim all over the place, his colors will be brighter, and he'll be an all around happier fish.<3 seriously, please consider the animal's feelings when you are purchasing what is basically their world, purely on looks. :/
