This tutorial will walk you through the simples steps of loading and using Photoshop Actions. But more importantly, this tutorial comes FREE with a downloadable Ebook Creator! With just one click, you can practise running an action to turn a flat 2-d i… * Peter on February 14th, 2008 at 6:59 am Sounds like a great script, however, I’m having problems. I am using photoshop 7 and get the following error message: “Could not complete the command because of a program error” Perhaps I need a later version of photoshop? Any ideas? * Minty Ferret on February 14th, 2008 at 8:42 pm Hi Peter - I’ve only heard of that happening to one other person and I’m still not entirely sure why that message pops up. It might be because you’re using an older version of Photoshop yes (to my knowledge this should work with CS3 and CS2, not sure about others). Also it might be because there isn’t enough memory in Photoshop to run the script (since it’s a large file). Try running the template file, then changing the image size by lowering the DPI (not the pixels). Then try running the eBook file again. Let me know if any of those work! * Zane on February 16th, 2008 at 11:12 am hi iam having same problem do u have another version i use photoshop 7 * Minty Ferret on February 16th, 2008 at 6:10 pm It sounds like the problem is Photoshop 7. Unfortunately I only have CS3 so I can’t make an action compatible with the earlier version. Sorry about this! Consider making your eBook by hand, try it out: http://mintyferret.com/photoshop/ecover-ebook-3-d-box-tutorial/ * Daniel on February 18th, 2008 at 3:49 pm excellent action… takes seconds what took hours… * Peter on February 21st, 2008 at 3:42 am Yep I’m thinking it’s a photoshop 7 issue. It fails very early - the dpi is 72 and lowering from there does solve. Guess it’s time to upgrade! thanks for your help, Peter * Michelle on February 23rd, 2008 at 1:20 am This is fab, just used it in CS3 THANKS!!!!! * Daryl on February 24th, 2008 at 1:58 am Thanks for this action script — it really makes things easier. there’s a similar script at: http://spentoggle.deviantart.com/art/e-Cover-Action-Script-2-77366448 if anyone is interested. * LiveBusinessRadio.com - News » FREE eBook / eCover Action Generator … on February 28th, 2008 at 5:17 pm […] Open up the Actions palette in Photoshop.
