Have you ever wondered if creatine and other supplements really work? Many people swear they do, and some people are skeptics. I personally have always been on the fence; not exactly sure what I thought. But now there’s concrete evidence that proves creatine monohydrate supplements really do work; especially in cardiovascular workouts. Check this out: The National Strength & Conditioning Association gave 40 men 6 grams of creatine monohydrate for 6 days. They didn’t conduct a loading phase, because there is no benefit to cardio, however the experts did mention that strength training (anaerobic) workouts do require a loading phase. The low doses given reduced fatigue by a third during high-intensity cardiovascular exercise. That’s a pretty huge benefit! I can only imagine the benefits it provides for anaerobic activity. I’d guess it’s probably about the same. I don’t know about you, but when I’m on creatine I feel about 30% more endurance.
