i don't really like the bag but the camera is just a better choice and i would want it as a gift

a camera is always more sensible and usable than a bag.
This is more "practical", and will not go out of style as quickly as a trendy bag. If splurging on a bag, I would tend to go with one that is traditional and timeless so I can get the most use out of it.
