I think #1 is a winner if you wanted the canopy bed. #2 would be a pain to read in and #3 is not contemporary like the first two. It really comes down to your decor.

I loveeee poster beds. Check out also westelm.com and crateandbarrel.com, I think they also have nice ones. CB2 has a really unique one with shorter poles which I am actually getting myself.
