Limited edition of 20. Signed and numbered. Giclee print on fine art paper 16" x 11" About my technique: My art work combines the realism of photography with the beauty of traditional painting. I begin with my personal color digital photograph(s) which I modify and enhance into one computer image using photography software. This modifying usually includes deleting unwanted objects from my photo and adjusting the colors, which sometimes means I saturate or enhance the original colors or that I replace some or all of the colors completely with colors I am inspired by from painting masterpieces of similar subject matter. Then I bring the modified photo into a painting program and digitally paint over the original photo to replicate traditional painting effects via a digital drawing pen and tablet that is used along with various computer-based brushes I create. I then have limited editon archival GICLEE prints made of the final piece, which are printed on premium fine art water color paper. Please read more about giclee printing below. This piece is printed in very limited editions of 20 prints per piece. About Giclee printing: A giclee (pronounced jhee-clay) print is a piece of printed artwork produced by using a high quality digital Inkjet Printer. Extremely fine droplets of ink are finely sprayed onto heavy paper or artists canvas. These droplets can be controlled by computer so that the resolution of the printed image is much finer than conventional printing. Printers usually use a 6 color printing process using permanent archival inks with a durability of up to 100 years. In conjunction with this, archival quality papers and canvases are used to give the very best overall result. It is estimated that up to 80% of all new art is being reproduced using giclee techniques. The benefits for collectors is the museum quality, stability and fidelity of giclee prints.
