Most kids like to climb trees, but as we grow older, the thought of scampering up 15 feet to find a comfy branch loses much of its appeal. So to let the rest of us get back to nature, Swiss designer Michel Bussein created the Growing Chair. By planting four trees under the legs of a hollow plastic frame, they soon grow into a chair like form that get denser and stronger with time. Eventually you remove the plastic, and are left with a chair shaped tree chair that might support a weedy little Swiss guy, if not the average American. Of course, those of us with heftier proportions could always go with the Grass Chair.
