Middle Tennessee Lumber Co., Inc. prides itself with quality hardwood timber harvested in the Highland Rim Region. We have four full-time lumber inspectors grading lumber in strict accordance with the National Hardwood Lumber Association grading rules. We even have our own in-house quality control procedures to insure you always get a top grade of lumber. We have a pre-drier which holds over 500,000 board feet and a kiln capacity of 400,000 which enables us to dry approximately 1.1 million board feet a month. Since Middle Tennessee Lumber processes such a vast amount of hardwoods, our inventory changes daily, but to get an overview of our inventory take a look at our species list. We take several extra steps to insure you get premium lumber. We steam our cherry and walnut, by steaming these two hardwoods it blends the color of the heartwood into the sapwood. We also stress relieve our lumber so it runs smooth and lays flat once the milling is done. All of our bundles of lumber are marked with their grade, thickness and specie. Our count is right on, we end tally every piece by width and length in each pack of lumber, there is no guessing on the correct footage. We measure our lumber with handheld computer units, to insure accuracy and that you receive exactly what is ordered.
