You have heard it a million times Knowledge is Power! The big question is where do you find the information that you need to gain knowledge? You can go through the process of trial and error but that can be both time consuming and expensive. If you want to start a business, you can always invest in a franchise where all the work has been done for you, but who has the half-million dollars it takes to open the average small franchise? In addition, you will then pay a portion of your sales to the franchise for as long as you are part of their system. You could also sign up at your local college and spend the next four years and 40-50 thousand dollars that gives you a piece of paper but no practical experience. Finally, you could find yourself a personal coach (the latest fad) who will give you lots of advice for about $100 per hour. But, how specific is that advice to what it is you really need to be successful? A Little History My name is Peter Francis and I have been teaching graduate business classes for the last ten years for Americas largest private university. My areas of expertise include strategic planning, project management, critical thinking, and managing change. I spent the years and money to get all the degrees I talked about earlier and have been through more trial and error than I care to think about. My real education started just over five years ago. One of my students told me he was going to start a consulting company and asked me if I would be interested in becoming his Director of Marketing and Business Intelligence. It was not a real area of expertise for me, but I thought it sounded like a great challenge. Right now, we have sales of well over 10 million dollars, have 80 employees, and have done business on five continents. We are ready to take the company to the next level and I have recently moved to the role of Chief Strategist for the firm. The Secret of My Success Over the last five years I have become an expert at finding resources on the Internet. There are experts in every area of business and life who have shared their expertise through workbooks, ebooks (electronic books), videos, and online courses. These experts have done all the trial and error, have identified best practices, and can drastically reduce your learning curve and increase your chances of success. Another great thing is that most of these programs are inexpensive and immediately accessible. If you are looking for a way to create a second income you can investigate a number of different opportunities without spending a lot of money. In addition, once you find an area you want to pursue you can you can search for several experts whose programs you can review. It is a great way to save time, save money, and cut down on your learning curve. It has really worked well for me and will for you too. Good luck in your quest for success! Please write and tell me about your journey. If you have any suggestions on ways to improve the site please dont hesitate to let me know. All the best, Peter A. Francis President - InfoSrch
