Note that most wordpress 1.5 themes are likely to work with wordpress 2.0 unless they require specific plugins to work properly (in which case they’ll only work if the required/included plugins ALSO work with wordpress 2.0+) WordPress 1.5+ uses a system that takes the template to the next level –WordPress themes. Not only are there manyWP themes which are freely available to download and use in your own blog, but you can use Ryan Boren’s ThemeSwitcher plugin to allow your weblog visitors to change your blog’s theme on the fly (which is pretty darn cool) (and yes, the ThemeSwitcher does work with WordPress 1.5+ even tho it was originally designed for 1.3) Since I had to search all over the place to try to find WordPress templates (er, themes), I figured I’d save you all the time and maintain a list here of every single WordPress 1.5+ Theme I could find. I also tried to specify the rare WordPress themes with a three column layout. Make sure to bookmark this page, as I’ll be updating it regularly as more free wordpress themes become available. Tremendous thanks to the authors who spent so much time putting together these wonderful WordPress themes. If you have (or know of) WordPress themes that I’ve missed, please email them to howtoblog (at) gmail.com or leave a comment about it. (Same goes if your theme is listed here and you want it removed).
