1. Keep both hands on the wheel at all times! Keep all distractions such as mobile phones or radio, and far away from you. 2. Turn on your headlights. Many states in the U.S. require headlights when it rains, even in broad daylight. 3. Keep a minimum of five from the length of the vehicle in front of you. You never know what other drivers are going to do or what could happen to you! If it feels too close or too far a rule of thumb is 1 second of following distance by 10 miles per hour. Happens especially in bad weather.
