1. Turn the computer off. | 2. Do not touch or press on the screen with your bare hands or fingers. Oils or grease from your hands can stain or smudge the screen and may be difficult to remove. | 3. Use a soft dry cotton cloth to gently wipe away fingerprints and smudges from the screen. If this does not completely remove the dirt and smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water and try again. Never spray liquid directly on the screen. Special cleaning cloths are available and are probably a good investment. Be very careful that you select a cloth that is free from any particles or dirt that can damage the screen. Do not use paper towels, ammonia, or strong cleaners on the screen under any circumstances. | 4. Try to clean your monitor at least once a month. Who knows, it could change your perspective on the world.
