BBP Limited Lifetime Warranty Laptop Sizing (Laptop Capacity) For Mac's it's easy of course... 13" Macbook = Small Hamptons 15" Macbook Pro = Medium Hamptons 15" Macbook Pro = Large Hamptons ... but remember to take out the snugfit adjusters (velcro padded strips inside the compartment) on the Medium and Large size bags. These were meant for folks who want to carry a smaller laptop in a larger bag. For PC's this is where it gets a little complicated. Generally speaking, this works... 12-14" PCs = Small Hamptons Thinner 15.4" PCs that are under 1.3" thick (such as many HP, Dell, or Sony 15.4" laptops) = Medium Hamptons Thicker 15.4" PCs that are over 1.3" thick (such as the IBM 15.4" laptops) = Large Hamptons 17" PC's = XL Hamptons .... but as with any PC laptop it gets complicated since there's no standardization. Here is how to calculate it exactly. Because the laptop opening is a linear zipper, the gating factor is the zipper for putting in a 2D laptop. The calculation for the zipper opening clearance becomes this for example: W + D must be less than or equal to 14.5" for a Small bag W + D <= 15.5" for a Medium bag W + D <= 16.5" for a Large bag W + D <= 17.5" for XL bag Clearance for the height is somewhat similar. H + D <= 12" for a Small bag H + D <= 13" for a Medium bag H + D <= 14" for a Large bag H + D <= 14" for a XL bag For example, a laptop may have these dimensions : 14.1"W x 10.5" H x 1.5"D. a. Zipper clearance 14.1 + 1.5 = 15.6 therefore it clears only a Large or XL b. Height clearance 10 + 1.5 = 11.5 clears the small and larger, but the zipper clearance requires Large or XL. Sorry, it's a bit complicated so we're working on a fit calculator.
