i actually didn't like their brushes - the bristles came out and i had to brush them off my face and i tried 3 different brushes. maybe i don't know the special trick! i finally went to sephora - the actual storefront instead of ordering online and did the 'shed test' - anotherwords tugging at the brushes on display and the one i ended up getting is from the 'sephora professionnel" line. i just added it to my list "make-up" but you can't buy it online. i'd suggest going in a store though and doing the 'shed test' yourself. it's better to spend more for a good brush than waste money on a bunch of crappy ones! sometimes i opt for using a sponge applicator instead of a brush. i just pat it on gently. i think it helps with 'blending' and controlling the amount of coverage you want.

I use the color Fairly Light. It took me a while to figure this out and make it look like I don't have make-up on. I even gave up on it for a while until I ran out of my other powder and dug it back out. You really do have to swirl, tap, and buff like the commercial says to get it on properly, otherwise it can look cakey. But if done right, this really makes skin flaweless. I put it on top of my mac concealer.

I've had success with Everyday Minerals. They feel lighter on the the skin and don't contain bismuth oxychloride (the ingredient most people are sensitive to), which BM does. Also, EM is lighter on the pocketbook. ;-)

I should try it then, I am just about out of my foundation anyway. Maybe this will be my next beauty purchase.
I have dry skin, and I usually start with a facial moisturizer, letting your skin soak it up for a minute or two before applying the mineral powder, and do it gradually so you can blend it well with it looking flaky.
I have always wanted to try this stuff, but I am afraid it wouldn't have enough moisture. It has to good though because it looks great on a lot of people.
