The fantastic new Mio269+ looks as good in your hand as it does on your dashboard. As sleek, portable and as full of features as its predecessor the 269, only this time Mio have added even more! With its sleek metallic Black and Silver design and the clever addition of a fully integrated GPS antenna it really is a pocket sized marvel. The difference between this and the 268+ is that this model has a massive 2GB harddrive that comes preloaded with Full European Maps! The 269+ is also a very functional device that features backlit buttons a handy feature especially in the dark Winter months couple this with an amazing 3.5” Colour Transflective LCD screen with more than 65,000 colours and you start to get an idea of the build quality of this device. Couple this with the handy new remote control and your SatNav experience becomes simplicity itself. The Mio269+ has been designed to make things as easy as possible from the word go. No installation is required - just put the included memory card with full maps of 27 European countries into the SD card slot. The new MioMap CE v.2 navigation software is based on Navigon's Mobile Navigator 4. The user-friendly interface, with both touchscreen and hardware buttons, has been created with simplicity in mind. Thanks to the state-of-the-art map data from Tele Atlas, the Mio269+ also finds local Points of Interest (POIs) like petrol stations or hotels, and now even includes phone numbers, allowing you to book your hotel or restaurant from the road! The software also navigates you around the things you'd rather avoid like road works, traffic jams or toll roads. What sets this Mio apart from its predecessor is the new SirfStar III extra-sensitive GPS chip technology. With this added to its faster processor, the Mio269+ catches satellite signals faster than ever before, calculates routes even more quickly, and holds them more efficiently. You can keep track of your position even in a crowded city or in the depths of a forest.
