Little boys are very active and bursting with energy. Here are a few ideas for some active parties that would be perfect for boys: Alien Invasion Who doesn't like aliens especially is they are six years old? This theme can really be played with alot. * Start with a green, or brown, invitation. You may want to do a custom invitation so you can start with your son laying down on the ground from the 'alient attack' or whatever fits your party the best. * You can decorate your house with a space ship or saucer hanging from the ceiling. You can decorate it with glow in the dark stickers or blinking christmas lights. Tin Foil on the walls or around the staircase will give you the perfect space to attach glow in the dark sticks, stickers, and anything else you can think of. * You can use green light bulbs in your lamps for ambiance. If you can't find any, simply paint some light bulbs with light green paint. * For food, you can really have fun with it (depending on your kids gross out factor!) Green kool-aid can be served as 'Alien Juice'. Flying saucer pizza (individual sized for each kid). And Nachos (where the cheese has been tinted green with food coloring) Alien Brain Punch (punch made with sprite, green and yellow sherbert, and green food coloring) with green gummy worms floating on top. NASCAR What little boy doesn't like fast cars? This party would work up to the age of 10. * Start with a race car theme custom photo invitation. Your son can get dressed up in racing gear. You can really have fun with this. * Decorate he entrance to your house, or backyard, with a red and white balloon arch. Decorate the space with checkered flags. * As each kid arrives, hand them their own 'pit passes' that have their names on it and their job description. (Tire Man, Mechanic, Gas Guy, etc) If money allows have them get dressed in their red or blue jumpsuit. * Setup a 'Hospitality Tent' in the backyard where drinks and food is served. * You can serve a race rack cake by cooking two 9 inch circle cakes. Put them end to end on a foil board and then frost them like a figure eight with black frosing. Black licroce can be used for the lanes. Using pretzel sticks, create a vericicle fence on the outside of the cake. Then, put several race cars on the 'track' Posted by Magnetic Messenger at 8:10 AM 0 comments Labels: birthday invitations, birthday party ideas, boy birthday, fun birthday Girl Birthday Party Ideas Little girls are precious, unique and creative. If you get them involved in the planning and organizing of their party, depending on their age, you can create an experience they will always remember. Dress Up Party Ages 3 and Up: Little girls love to dress up and like to play the part. This idea would work great for a small to medium sized party. Some ideas: * Start with a playful invitation. Consider a custom birthday invitation with a photo of your daughter in dress up mode. * Setup small dress up stations for small groups of girls. Decorate with plastic mirrors, 'lipstick', 'compacts', etc. * Have a small 'dress' station where the outfits are stored and can be tried on. * Setup a small runway decorated with pink paper table clothes lined with white christmas lights for the fashion show. Take polaroids so each child can get their own photo, or keep them yourself to create a scrap book. * Instead of cake, serve cupcakes frosted pink. You can decorate the top of each cupcake with frosting that looks like lipstick, press on nails, etc. Princess Party: Anywhere from 3-8 yrs old * Every little girl wants to be a princess. This party idea makes each girl feel special and has a few games and crafts aimed at the theme. * Start with a custom birthday party invitation in the princess theme. This will make sure to set the mood for the party. * Have dress up clothes for the little girls so that each of them can look like a princess. * When they first arrive have some small finger sandwiches to break the ice. Also have them work on the craft of making their 'crown' with thick craft paper, gold glitter, glue and sparkles. * 'Make' up each little
