I tried to use this to connect my circa 1995 Sony 10 disc changer directly to a Kenwood KDC-MP338 rather than running it through the old FM transmitter. Unfortunately, the changer must have a small amplifier in it because the input signal was severely over-amplified, which greatly distorted the sound. This is an awsome way to add an auxiliary input to the rear of a Kenwood stereo, but just make sure that what you're sending into the stereo is at a standard "line in" amplitude (i.e. mp3 players, etc.)
