According to rechargable battery experts (yes, they exist. and YES, I READ THEM!) this is *the* charger to buy. Why, you ask? Because unlike most other chargers, you can choose the charging rate: slow charging to maintain long battery life, or fast charging when you're really in a hurry. You can also test the state of a battery (I never know how much charge is left in there, otherwise), and easily recondition older batteries that are starting to lose their ability to keep a charge. In other words, this charger will actually save you money in the long run. And it's really not that expensive, either, so it's a good deal all around.
NOTE: It will only charge NiMH batteries, like the Ray-O-Vac ones elsewhere on my wish list.
