I found this simple but elegant set of tea bowls at the Salvation Army and embellished them with my sepia laser decal lantern drawings. The lanterns were drawn with a bamboo brush and ink, scanned, and made into decals. Each of these bowls holds about 5 oz. They are a beautiful cool, grey-white color, with a satin finish to the glaze that is really pleasing to touch. The bowls also have nice ridges in their shape, so they fit comfortably in your hand. There really is something nice about drinking hot tea from a handle-less cup - it's very warm and soothing. A little hot outside right now to be imagining drinking hot chai from your new tea bowls? These would make excellent tealight candle holders for warm summer nights out on the front porch. Or chill them and use them for dessert bowls for a perfect sized serving of ice cream or sorbet! As always, my thrift store pieces are fired to cone 04 to make the decals permanent, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. Thanks for looking!
