I stumbled across this site earlier in the evening and think that it is truly one of the most helpful sites for anyone who blogs, designs websites, or just wants to add some tweaks to their internet surfing! I was looking for good content to feature on my blog Start Building Websites That Pay! Something told me to use my ChaCha Guide experience to look beyond Google and I found the motherload! Listible.com is Web 2.0 at it's best. After a simple login registration and validation, site members are taken to a slick website that features over 1,500 "best of" or "Top" lists. Each list is a topic that members can add their recommendationed urls with a brief description of the site. The submitted site then becomes part of the rated list. Members rate sites by using simple "up" or "down" arrows. At the bottom of each list (some are extensive - 200 plus sites listed in Best of Web 2.0) members can leave comments. The list is tagged and members can add tags. The best part, in my opinion, is how user friendly the designers have made the site to provide web content to other web designers. Not only are there several RSS feeds that are available to syndicate, members can select to put a small javascript in their own blog or website that will list the entire contents of each "Best of" listible! I am filling up my blog now. The javascript does not allow the reposted link list to be rated, but - WOW -what an impressive amount of great content they are providing to the members. And I see endless hours of visiting many of these sites that I have never heard of to find the very best of the web. Check them out soon. There is simply no way to not be impressed with this site! Thanks Listible! A few quotes available on their BUZZ page: Scott Watermasysk: "... the site seems drop dead simple to use, so my money says this will be a big hit." About.com: "Their tag line is "a quick way to get resources" and boy, they're not kidding around." WebProNews: "Listible.com Is Irrelistible ... This list concept has a lot of potential for folks that want to get in, get their information and get out." Marty Kearns: "Ahhh. I have been waiting for something like this." Download Squad: "Social lists for every occasion" Lifehacker: "...is a Web site that blends lists with community features." ResearchBuzz: " This is a nifty idea." SEOmoz's Web 2.0 Awards: "Lists & Polls: Honorable Mentions." Steve Rubel: "... a tagged community of lists, has a giant registry of Web 2.0 products and services and an RSS feed to go with it." Frank Gruber: "A List Makers' Dream" Marjolein Hoekstra: "... where you can create your own lists, tag them with keywords and then have them voted for. Listible is RSS-enabled. Very cool find!"
