i skate so much that i figure that skate shoes are more comfortable than that of shoes designed for comfort

This shoe design has greater comfort and durability. It just depends on what you consider more aesthetically pleasing.

I have a couple of skater shoes, and they are actually somewhat comfortable. I think these are great. If you want skate shoes, i suggest Vans or Airwlks. Those are my favorite!
