this is a very cheap junky washer craftmanship is very poor and i do not recomend this to anyone maytag should of never put their name on it!! it bumbs rattles knocks its very cheaply built and its really short too. if you have a older one fix it . and it so very very very very very LOUD!!!

I own this washer and there's no way I would buy one again. It works well and it's an attractive unit, but it rattles like a coffee can full of bolts. It makes a very loud, intermittant gear noise. During agitation, it makes the noise for maybe two or three minutes, stops for a few seconds, then starts again at random. I don't like intermittant noise. Either the washer is supposed to make the noise or it isn't. It also makes a very loud, unsettling bang when it changes cycles. It's far and away the loudest washer I've ever heard. It's not just peculiar to mine either. I had the store from which I bought it bring me another one and it makes the exact same sounds. It's just shoddy. I would never buy this machine again.
