The colon is the organ which directly or indirectly affects all other organs in the body. If the colon is unhealthy, the liver will not function properly. A malfunctioning liver affects the kidneys. Bad kidneys have an impact on the circulatory system which will impact the heart, and so on. Maintaining colon health is therefore crucial for overall health. Scientific studies have however determined that, for most people, the colon is clogged up with mucoid plaques, decaying food and parasites. These materials can accumulate for months, if not years. In their putrefaction process, these materials release toxins which are taken up into the bloodstream and distributed to the rest of the body. These toxins are the primary cause of many illnesses. Some examples include: * Constipation * Gas and bloating * Weight gain * Fatigue * Acne and other skin problems * Hair fall With increasing levels of toxins in the body, more serious conditions can emerge, for example, cancer and cardiovascular disease. It is therefore imperative to remove the accumulated material in the colon in order to eliminate the toxin source.
