Junk. Broke in the first 10 minutes of use... on Christmas morning no less. Now I've got a very disappointed 8 year old. I'll be returning it for something else as soon as the stores are open again.Posted by someguy at 6:49 PM on 12/25/08 Report Spam

What a piece of junk! Ours broke on Christmas morning with less than a half an hour of use. The inside of the gun is made of hollow channel polyethylene.....about as durable as a drinking straw. STAY AWAY!!!Posted by coyotes at 6:15 PM on 12/25/08 Report Spam

Yes I have it too, but it seems just a bit too heavy. Now one of these per six or seven kids could turn the tide in a battle. The only problem is logistics. Getting fresh belts and darts to the front is a full time job, and youu are under constant fire. Now who would want to hump around nerfs and get shot at all day? This gun could be a blessing or a curse to whoever must deal with it, it takes soldiers that could be using single person weapons by themselves from the front, but gives you awesome suppressive fire in return, in short, this gun changes the way will think about Nerf and its tactics forever.Posted by log_alog at 8:27 PM on 9/16/08 Report Spam

A vulcan nest, in my doctrine of nerf warfare, comprises of three people, gunner, loader and lookout. That is not all that the nerf Vulcan is capable of doing. Iif you could ride no handed or haqd a friend with a tandem you could abolish all the old tactics, doctrines and strategies that people have come up with. Instead of single, brave warriors attacking or lines, you would have armourd blitzkriegs punching through the enemy and slaughtering them as they passed. This would create a new doctrine in nerf, The Armoured Spearhead Doctrine. And, if someone could put it on a model airplane or helicopter, you would have a whole new dimension to deal with, air. Here, the Combined Arms Doctrine would apply. Air, Land and not to mention Sea, if someone could get it onto remote controlled boats, would come together to assure absolute destruction of the enemy. Cars with sunroofs could also be usedPosted by log_alog at 7:19 PM on 8/3/08 Report Spam

This gun could probobly change the way nerf wars are fought forever. A belt-fed, fully automatic, battery operated, affordable nerf machinegun would allow a single kid to have the firepower of a 10 kid platoon. On the other hand though, that much firepower could put kids off from fighting in the intrest of of preserving their sportsmanship. Since a kid could waltz into a heavily fortified room and turn it into a nerf slaughter house. This would make nerf wars World War One all over again. The defense would far outweigh anything man-portable and the attackers would take extremely heavy casualties. 20, or maybe even thirty kids armed with regular N-Strike brand guns to take out a vulcan nest. The only thing that favors the attackers though is that you only have ONE belt and it takes almost a full minute to reload. Plus, it dosen't use the priciple of the disintegrating link chain ( meaning that you have two little bits of plastic that use the round to stay together and fall away "disitegrate" without the round. This kind of chain can be infinite, since the link is the same each time), and I don't see a little extra piece of cloth to attach another belt. Nor can you buy more belts to keep your Vulcan firing longer before reloading the belts with micro darts. All in all, it would change Nerf Warfare Offensive and Defensive Doctrines forever.Posted by log_alog at 1:13 PM on 6/1/08 Report Spam
