OK, so you love the modern designers. And you are looking for a new lamp, and you want something that is special and unique? Well, then norm 69 is the right lamp for you. Developed a couple years ago – in 1969 to be precise – by architect Simon Karkov for Normann Copenhagen – yes they were around then already – this is on of the classical Scandinavian Lamps. And the beauty of it: You get to put it together own your own. Think of it as IKEA for the advanced… 69 pieces that need to be put together to create this stunning lamp with a diameter of 20" (51 cm) – but no worries, a very detailed instruction comes with it… What makes this lamp so special? The clever positioning of the elements utilize every bit of the light that is emitted from the bulb inside, yet at no angle you are actually looking into the bulb, so it’s a highly effective light source. In case you are worried, we put the lamp together our selves – we wanted to know whether it was easy or not – and we had a great time, it takes a couple minutes until you get the concept of how to fold the little elements, but once that was done, we enjoyed it and were really proud when the lamp was up after an hour of building fun…
