Like so many things of dubious design, these glasses are very pretty but not functional. No one seems to have really tested them. When it was first filled with wine, it looked impressive. But when you go to wash them, the water does not drain completely from the bottom of the stem. This leads to water spots and mildew. You have to get a pipe cleaner and paper or other towelling and stuff it down the stem to dry and completely dry the glasses. Not very practical.
